The New England Patriots may have their biggest weapon available to them right from the start this season. Gronkowski should be healthy enough to play in Week 1 in Miami on Sept. 7, according to Patriots.com.
“As has been the case in recent seasons this all comes down to the health of arguably the Patriots best player: Gronkowski. At this point all signs point toward Gronk being ready to go in Week 1,” writes Paul Perillo.
Gronkowski hasn’t played a full 16 game season in two years. In 2011, he dominated the league catching 90 passes for 1,327 yards and 17 touchdowns. In 2012 Gronkowski was limited to 11 games, and in 2013, he played in just seven contests, catching 39 passes for 592 yards and four touchdowns.
