According to sources, no tampering charges will be brought against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for his phone call with Vikings RB Adrian Peterson.
Just to be sure there was no problem, sources say Jones asked Cowboys general counsel Jason Cohen to place a call to the Minnesota Vikings after the story emerged. Cohen clarified what happened when a third party handed Jones a phone before a concert in AT&T Stadium on June 7. Peterson was on the line.
The Vikings have confirmed that they won’t be filing a complaint, and the league has agreed.
