Another day, and another timely quote from Charles Barkley.
The former NBA All-Star and TNT analyst says fans shouldn’t overreact to the Spurs’ 101-100 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, because Nowitzki and company “will be there in the end.”
Barkley believes “the Mavericks might be the best team in the Western Conference.”
“This Dallas team is going to be in there in the end,” Barkley said on Inside the NBA on TNT after the game.
“I think the Western Conference is the toughest I’ve ever seen in the NBA. I think the Dallas Mavericks might be the best team in the Western Conference,” Barkley said on ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption on Tuesday afternoon. “But I think this year — I just don’t see the Spurs repeating. … I think the West is the best it’s ever been.
“I don’t like making preseason predictions, because we haven’t played any games yet, but I tell you what, that Dallas Mavericks team looks great on paper.”
