Just to refresh a few memories, I predicted Tony Romo would win MVP this season.
Romo has been lights out during the Cowboys 5-1 start because Scott Linehan is an amazing play caller, and DeMarco Murray is running like the best running back in the league.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones took a step further when he declared that Romo has never played the quarterback position better than he is now.
“I don’t know that I can say that I’ve ever seen him play better,” Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan. “We’ve seen him certainly do what Romo does. That is, instinctively make plays.”
Romo, who has completed 68.6 percent of his passes for 1,510 yards and 11 touchdowns with five interceptions, has been outstanding because the Cowboys have finally committed to running the ball with purpose.
