University of Florida Bernie Machen sounds confident in the hire of Jim McElwain as head coach, but he’s leerie of who his new coach will choose to become offensive coordinator.
In 2011 Will Muschamp hired Charlie Weis as his first offensive coordinator. Florida went 6-6 that regular season, finishing 105th in the nation in total offense (332.7 yards per game) and 71st in scoring offense (25.5 points per game).
Machen was reportedly overheard telling Florida’s assistant AD that he didn’t want a repeat of such a hire.

To be clear for everyone retweeting that Machen quote, I overheard him say it to Florida assistant AD.
