By comparison depending on who you believe Mayweather vs. Maidana 2 did between 825-925k PPV buys. If these numbers are accurate it means that Pacquiao is rapidly losing his ability to draw huge PPV numbers and that gives a ton of leverage to Mayweather.
Wow, horrible, #Pacquiao PPV reputedly did just over 300,000 buys & its the lowest #Manny #PPV figure since becoming a super star. #boxing

PPV numbers are sort of like the number of women Wilt Chamberlain slept with, no one ever knows the exact number unless they are breaking a record. So this number could be a little low, little high or spot on. What is clear is it was well under 500k which is what some people were predicting.
Because the PPVs number are so low, there probably isn’t upside to Pacquiao’s purse and that is probably the reason he is calling out Mayweather so hard.
It doesn’t matter if Pacquiao fights Danny Garcia, Terence Crawford or god forbid Jessie Vargas he won’t do major PPV numbers or make Mayweather style money unless he actually fights Mayweather.
