This season the NFL banned dunking on the goal post after a touchdown celebrations. But Jimmy Graham has had enough of that rule and plans to dunk in the Pro Bowl on the Goal post. SportsNaut brings us the story that fine or no fine Jimmy going to dunk.
Now that Graham is on free range at the Pro Bowl, he was asked if he planned to bring in the dunk in Sunday’s game (via NFL.com).
“100 percent. Hopefully, they get me the ball. I’m for sure (going to dunk). Hopefully I won’t get fined this time. Last time that fine was a little bit steep, especially for a preseason game.”
Graham, who said he doesn’t know if the NFL would fine him if he dunks during the Pro Bowl, isn’t planning on stopping what he loves to do.
“I really don’t care,” he said. I mean, it’s the Pro Bowl, it’s supposed to be fun. So hopefully they don’t take my check away afterwards.”
The NFL fined Graham $30,000 for violating this rule in a preseason game. For making the Pro-Bowl Graham will make at least a $28,000 bonus/$55,000 bonus for being on the winning team.
The Pro Bowl is for the fans, they should just throw the rule book out and let players dance, spike and dunk. Maybe then fans might care more. And maybe athletes might care to participate so they can put on a show.
