Seems like drug dealers are getting a lot dumber these days.
According to The Denver Post,
A Texas man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of trying to send himself an estimated $63,000 in marijuana and marijuana products, some of which was legally purchased, from Pueblo back home.
Johnny Wolfe, 23, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department in Texas at his residence and is being held at the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash only bond, Pueblo police said.
Wolfe has been charged in Colorado with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a class two felony.
Police in Pueblo began investigating Wolfe last month after United Parcel Service employees reported receiving a package that was suspicious. The package was sent by Wolfe out of Pueblo to himself at an address in San Angelo, which is about 230 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
Inside the package police found several double-vacuum sealed packages with a total of nine pounds of “high-grade marijuana,” police said. Investigators say the package also had cannabis products that included edibles, cough syrups, skin patches and “wax” that had been legally purchased from two dispensaries in Pueblo.
Drugs through the mailing service? People have got to get smarter than this.
