Back in 2013, Dee Liner elected to take his talents to Tuscaloosa, Alabama on National Signing Day in hopes of making an impact along their defensive line.
Fast forward to 2015, and Liner has now elected to transfer out of Alabama and head to Arkansas State.
Dee Liner, the former Alabama defensive lineman, will continue his career at the FBS level, announcing his intentions to transfer to Arkansas State.
Liner appeared in only four games in two seasons with the Crimson Tide, recording four tackles, but apparently left on good terms.
“Officially been released from the U of A!!! Wanna thank them for everything they have done for me and the opportunity they gave me” Liner said via his Twitter account in February.
Finally made a decision on where I want to play ball at I will be attending Arkansas State University! Thank for the opportunity! #Gov
Liner wasn’t able to make a dent in the depth chart at Alabama, but he should have plenty of opportunities to get some PT at Arkansas State. The Sunbelt is a far cry from the SEC, but sometimes guys just need a change of scenery to jump start their career.
