GoFundMe is really changing lives out here. A pizza owner who said he wouldn’t cater a gay wedding has been forced into hiding after threats were made to his establishment and his family.
Via TMZ:
The Indiana pizza guy who refused to cater gay weddings has made more in the last week than he probably made in years … his supporters have almost made him a millionaire.
Kevin O’Connor has closed shop because of numerous threats, after he drew the line on gay marriage pizza celebrations.
O’Connor supporters started a GoFundMe account where people could give money to support O’Connor’s family. The goal was to raise $25K.
As of Saturday morning … they’ve hit $842,592. Nearly 30,000 people have donated money.
Donations are now closed. Grand total of $842,387 raised for #MemoriesPizza. You stood in the gap w them. Thank you. http://t.co/iB4VhMKbL6

I’m sure he would be well over a million dollars by now if they hadn’t closed his gofundme account. Here’s my take on things, I feel like people should be able to have their own beliefs, but I don’t feel like anyone should be discriminated against because of that.
