Worthy’s decision demonstrates the Chiefs’ strategic vision in addition to their dedication to improving their offense.
Worthy has already left his mark on NFL Combine history with a lightning-fast 40-yard sprint timing of 4.21 seconds, breaking the previous mark held by John Ross.
He is a captivating potential for Mahomes and the Chiefs offense because of his extraordinary speed and playmaking skills.

Chiefs hopes of a three-peat in the Super Bowl are enhanced by Xavier Worthy
Worthy not only possesses lightning-fast speed but also a proven track record of success on the field, having accumulated over 1,000 receiving yards while playing for the Texas Longhorns.
With 26 career touchdowns, he is a dangerous threat in the Chiefs’ receiving corps thanks to his explosive playmaking abilities. The idea of Mahomes making a connection with the quickest player in NFL history has fans and analysts alike excited.
The Chiefs’ offensive game plan gains further depth with Worthy’s ability to emerge as one of Mahomes’ top targets, further establishing the team’s standing as a Super Bowl contender.
Worthy is entering a tough environment as he joins the Chiefs’ receiver group, which is strengthened by the addition of Marquise Brown in the offseason. Worthy made the following statement after learning that his ambition of playing for the Chiefs will come true:
“Everybody dreams of playing with Patrick Mahomes, one of the greatest QBs of all-time. To be able to play for him, everybody talks about it, but I’ve been saying for a while that I’m going to be a Chief. Now that I’m here it’s amazing.”
