This looks bad for Indiana Defensive Line Raphael Green. Here is what the cops say happened per the Indiana Star.
The officer observed Green yelling ‘belligerently’ and indicated that he was attempting to get into the passenger side of a vehicle. Once inside, Green began honking the horn repeatedly and was told to stop due to the large crowd gathering from the disturbance he was creating. The officer then asked him to step away from the vehicle and began speaking to him about the alleged battery incident.
“The officer observed signs of intoxication to include slurred speech, red and watery eyes and that he was swaying back and forth while speaking to the officer. A Portable Breath Test (PBT) instrument registered .20% BAC. Green was placed under arrest for Battery (A Misdemeanor), Public Intoxication (B Misdemeanor) and Disorderly Conduct (B Misdemeanor).
“Regarding the alleged battery, the victim reports that she was grabbed around the waist by Green, she attempted to get away, and that he then slapped her across the right cheek. A witness indicated that Green began to ‘dance up’ on the female and that a disturbance broke out between the victim, her boyfriend and Green.”
Green has been suspended indefinitely by Indiana.
