NFL players had a long, well rested offseason to take in the entire season of ‘Game of Thrones’ but according to the Wall Street Journal, the slackers are causing a divide in locker rooms now.
With NFL training camps upon us, a lot of guys are interested in breaking down their favorite cast members and scenes from the past season.
There’s only one problem — with guys from teams all over the league, complaining because they haven’t caught up with this past season, or others that came before it.
Redskins offensive lineman Kory Lichtensteiger said that if you know nothing and don’t want to hear spoilers, it’s on you to get caught up.
“I’ll wait a couple of days,” he said. “But I mean, if you haven’t watched it by then, close your ears. Earmuffs. I want to talk about it.”
Steelers linebacker Vince Williams came up with some lame excuse about the show being too complex for casual viewing, and he hasn’t had time to sit down and watch it with the attention it deserves.
Meaning, he’ll likely never give the show the time it deserves to be watch and understood. He’s definitely not going to have time during the season.
