Adidas shocked the sneaker world with it’s hefty $200 million offer to James Harden over the weekend. However, Nike has yet to make a sound on if it will commit to the ‘Bearded One’.
A source told TMZ on Nike’s plans with the 2015 NBA MVP runner up.
“Signing James is Nike’s top priority, but we do have other athletes as well that we’re looking to sign.”
Nike has yet to counter with an offer to Harden’s camp, and with Nike already having success with LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant on sneaker shelves is Harden worth the $200 million that adidas is offering?
At this point Nike is playing it safe by not making a move, but Harden must be considering more than money if he didn’t pounce on the lucrative offer.
