The Houston Texans find themselves in limbo. One day after Arian Foster injured his groin during practice, the Texans are exploring other options. Foster’s timetable hasn’t been set yet but he is likely to need surgery. With his immediate future unclear, the Texans are bringing veteran running back Pierre Thomas for a workout.
RB Pierre Thomas is on his way to visit the #Texans, a source says. Plan is for him to workout for the team tomorrow.

Thomas saw limited action last year with the New Orleans Saints but averaged 4.9 yards per carry. Thomas could play a big role in Houston’s passing game after hauling in 45 receptions last year. Who every they decide to sign will have big shoes to fill. I would expect them to go running back by committee while Foster is out.
