Dez Bryant has proven the critics wrong and is set to return to the Cowboys this week. According to Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones barring a sat back Dez will play Sunday. Jones was on 105.3 The Fan’s Ben and Skin show when he updated fans on Dez Bryant.
“We feel really good about Dez playing…To say that he’s full blast might be a stretch. … I do think he’s well enough that he can go in there and help us this weekend, and feel like he will do, barring any setbacks between now and the start of the game.”
I have mixed feelings about Dez rushing back. The Cowboys offense has struggled without Dez and Romo in the lineup. Now they are down a running back due to Joesph Randle suspension. Dez is needed but the Cowboys still do not have a QB with Romo still out. Seems like an unnecessary risk but maybe Dez return makes it easier for struggling QB Matt Cassell. Only time will tell if this was a good decision.
