Steph Curry has really blossomed before our eyes. He’s the best shooter the NBA has ever seen and his team has a 20-0 record. Curry has done it all, he’s a NBA champion and a league MVP but his alma mater Davidson isn’t willing to retire his jersey just yet, they expect more from Curry.
According to C.L. Brown of ESPN.com, Davidson only retires numbers of players who graduated from the university and Curry has yet to complete all requirements for his degree after choosing to enter after his junior season.
“I knew what I signed up for when I went to Davidson. I made a promise to coach [Bob] McKillop and my family that when I left school back in ’09 that would be accomplished—and it will be soon. Hopefully sooner than later.”

“It’s still a priority for sure; obviously there’s a lot going on right now. Taking advantage of my career right now on the court in the NBA, it’s only a very short window, so you want to give all the attention and effort. But to be able to finish out that part of my life, whenever it does happen, will be huge.”
It’s not exactly known when Curry will return to finish up his degree but it could be a little more difficult seeing that Davidson doesn’t offer summer classes. I’m sure that Curry will find a way to get it done.
