Stephen Curry just racked up another accolade — this time winning the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year award Saturday.
According to the AP, Curry is just the fourth basketball player to win the award in its 85-year history, joining LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird.
Curry took home the award over golfer Jordan Spieth, and American Pharoah, the first horse to win the Triple Crown since 1978.
“That’s a real honor,” Curry told the AP. “I’m appreciative of that acknowledgement because it’s across all different sports. … It’s pretty cool.”
The 2014-15 NBA MVP — who also led the Warriors win their first championship in 40 years — is on pace for another MVP trophy.
