Sexuality and gender association are not as black and white as they used to be. Today people are encouraged to identify and express themselves how they see fit despite their physically anatomy.
Per Outsports, the Olympics are now allowing transgender athletes to compete without having surgery to change their sex. The current rules allow transgender athletes to participate under certain provisions. Under the new proposed rules no surgery is needed.
Would Caitlyn Jenner of had an advantage if she was competing against women? How much does anatomy play a part in strength and speed?
Im curious to see how other athletes will react to these new rules but I’m glad the Olympics committee is evolving with the times.
