The news of Alex Rodriguez leaving the club brought joy to many Yankee fans who want change. However, will Rodriguez come out of “retirement” and play elsewhere?
Alex Rodriguez is a household name by now. Unfortunately, much of it is attributed to scandals. Rodriguez’s decision to play his last game with the Yankees on August 12, 2016 was one that many weren’t expecting. Even on the day of the game, many still had opinions about him as Mariano Rivera got a louder ovation than Rodriguez did. But the question lingers if we’ll see A-Rod back in another jersey. I think so but his spokesperson perhaps also alluded to that.
"I want to put all this talk to rest about Alex playing for any team this season. It's not happening."–
ARod spokesman Ron Berkowitz— Sweeny Murti (@YankeesWFAN) August 15, 2016
As far as 2016 is concerned, no team but the key term as some pointed out is this season. A-Rod is 41 and is beyond a veteran by now but still has something left in the tank. Rumors surfacing are suggesting that he’ll play for the Marlins but we’ll have to wait till next year to see if that’s true.
