We reported earlier in the week that singer Sevyn Streeter was pulled from singing the National Anthem at the 76ers home opener when team officials didn’t approve of the “We Matter” jersey we was wearing.
Comedian DL Hughley was recently asked about the incident and says the NBA organization owes Streeter an apology.
One of the most powerful things we have as humans is our voice and that tool can be used to move the mountain of change. If it wasn’t so powerful people, like the 76ers, wouldn’t go out of their way to silence it. I wouldn’t hold my breathe for that apology though.
