A Baltimore teacher has been charged after a student required hospitalization following an incident that occurred while being escorted to the Principal’s office.
According to WBAL TV 7-year-old Travon Grayson, a student at City Springs Elementary/Middle School, suffered mouth and facial injuries when a substitute teacher threw him into a wall while escorting him to the school’s main office for a disciplinary issue. The child’s parents, Lateekqua Jackson and Travon Grayson Sr., Travon Jr. believe his injuries will require surgery and their son is suffering from nightmare.
“My son told me that (the assistant teacher) threw my son into a wall,” Jackson said. “My son had dreams about it all last night. He’s still shaking in his sleep, saying that he keeps having visions of (the assistant teacher) throwing him into a wall.”
City Springs School is cooperating with the investigation.The suspect’s identity will be made public when he faces charges on Wednesday.
