You see this in Boxing and UFC, but rarely in the NBA and even more rare with people from ESPN who normally have a rubber stamp to go cover whatever they want.
The NBA says they are in contact with both the Mavs and ESPN. ESPN says don’t expect any change in coverage.
Here is how it all went down.
Mark Cuban pulled #Mavs media credentials from #ESPN reporters @ESPNSteinLine & @espn_macmahon. Both aren't allowed in AAC. #NBA is aware.

I'm told the Mavericks have revoked their season media credentials of ESPN's Tim MacMahon and Marc Stein. Story coming.

Cuban didn't give reasons for Stein & McMahon media ban: “They’re not banned from the building. They can still buy a ticket.” #ESPN #NBA

Mark Cuban was unhappy that MacMahon's role at ESPN changed and he wasn't covering the team on a full-time basis, per source.
