Like most things with Stephen A. Smith, I believe I understand the point he is trying to make, but the wording gets a little muddled.
I understand that every white person in the world isn’t racist and when you just throw a blanket over everyone that is a problem, but frankly it is a small minority of black people who do that. There is a much bigger majority of white people throwing stereotypical blankets over black people. The stereotypes that are put on black people for being black is far more negative than anything a black person can think about a white person.
Black people rightfully so, maybe wonder if their white neighbor is a Trump supporter or has some prejudices against blacks. That is much different from a black person being seen as a threat to society and their life being in danger just for walking out the house.
Stephen A. Smith is saying black people have to speak a certain way to get white people to understand the issues we are having, but the problem is throughout the history of this country black people have tried to speak on issues in every way possible and it still doesn’t work. White people who aren’t racist, don’t need to be convinced and can be clearly IDed.
How many times can you peacefully say treat us equally? Why do black people have to appease white people just to have certain rights that all Americans should have? Why do we have to make white people comfortable about things that are being done to us by white people?
You think people who want to hold our race down is just going to listen and change because we asked them nicely?
Stephen A. Smith is someone who screams and yells to get his points across about sports, but he wants black people to be calm and reasonable when they are talking about racism, discrimination and prejudice.
Math just not adding up.
