The desire to play ball never quite leaves an athlete so it’s no surprise that Manny Ramirez is looking to make a comeback at the tender age of 44.
Spring Training is just about a few months away and there are plenty of teams that could use Manny Ramirez in the outfield. But before we discuss the possibility of which teams could use him, let’s first see if he’ll be back in league somehow. The 44-year old has been back in the batting cage and hard at work. His wife Juliana shared the details of his hard work.
But we spoke with Manny’s wife, Juliana, who tells us the 12 time MLB All-Star and World Series MVP has been training like crazy … and has been in talks with a pro team outside the United States.
“He is training extremely hard,” Juliana says … “Batting, CrossFit, Orange Theory. He never stops.”
Juliana says no official decision has been made yet about Manny’s future … but it’s clear where she stands.
“I told him, ‘Go for it!’ Baseball is the love of his life other than his family and I totally support him 100% … ’cause I know how much it means for him.”
There are plenty of players who are defying father-time as they continue to play the sport they love so much. Julio Franco is pushing 60 as he was playing up until last year for a team in Japan. If Franco could do it, Ramirez can, too!
