Before tonight’s HEAT-Bucks matchup, Bucks coach Jason Kidd announced that Jabari Parker would not be starting tonight’s game due to a violation of team rules, and starting in his place would be 7 foot rookie Thon Maker. Kidd was asked why the sudden switch to Maker was made and he gave the following explanation:
“We’ve got to understand one of the team rules was broken, and that’s the real reason why (Thon) Maker is starting. So we’ve got to start him. It’s a team rule and it’s between the team and that’s it. He’s playing.”
South Beach is a place were opposing players flock to when they visit Miami, but it’s not clear if the team violations were attributed to any late night partying by Jabari Parker. The South Beach hangover before a games, is something coaches are very mindful of.
