A not-so-friendly bet between friends resulted in the police being called to assist a man found duct-taped to a traffic sign.
According to WFAA Channel 8, police began receiving calls from drivers reporting that local man Miguel Chavez was duct-taped to a yield sign in northeast Houston. As officers arrived on the scene to aid the taped man, a second knife-wielding man approached but was immediate ordered down by officers. The unidentified man explained he was there to rescue Chavez who was taped to the sign for losing a bet on the outcome of the Rockets vs. Warriors game. The cops eventually helped get Chavez down and even gave him a ride home.
