While the team was celebrating, we everything from beer to mom’s crying for joy. There’s a report that was going around this morning stating that the Warriors have unanimously decided to not visit the White House. That indeed is not true.
In all seriousness, it’s a topic that cannot be taken lightly. Some of the New England Patriots skipped out on going to the White House. The Chicago Cubs made sure to visit the White House while President Obama was still in office. If that doesn’t scream boycott, I’m not sure what does. However, the Warriors have not joined that group just yet.
Coach Steve Kerr has joined the NBA coaches that publicly criticize Trump and if they do get an invite, those photos might tell another story.
Just last month, coach Steve Kerr called President Trump a “blowhard” and “ill-suited” for the office he holds.
“Has anyone ever thought that Donald Trump was a great leader?” Kerr said.
Marc Spears of ESPN has since posted this tweet. It definitely clears up any and all confusion.
Per Warriors: We have not received an invitation to the White House, but will make those decisions when and if necessary.

This day in age, you got to love Twitter. We’ll have to wait and see if the team does decide on going but as of now, no invite has even been extended to the Warriors.
