The Cleveland Cavaliers return to Ohio after a rough start to the Finals in the Bay Area.
When LeBron James returns home for Games 3 and 4, he will be welcomed by signs bearing positivity in the wake of his LA property being vandalized with a racial slur. Local teacher, Jennifer Pennington created her own signs that praised the superstar forward for his philanthropy and extensive work within the community.
Signs were placed around the Bath Township, Ohio property praising LeBron as a “Humanitarian”, “Role Model”, “Leader”, and “Good Samaritan”.
“My heart broke when I saw the N-word posted,” Pennington told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “It just seemed like the right thing to do to combat the evil, combat the hate in the world.”
Pennington’s mother Edie Bowers was James’ kindergarten teacher and Pennington has worked at a summer camp sponsored by the LeBron James Family Foundation.
Good to see that James is loved and appreciated for his work off the court as well as on it.
