Eagles star D-Lineman, Chris Long has decided that he is going to donate his last 10 game checks to youth education equality. This comes after he already donated his first six game checks to scholarships in his hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Via press release Chris Long says:
In my 10th year, I want to celebrate the awesome opportunity I’ve had to play football by giving back to the communities that have given me that gift.
This is not the first time Chris Long has been active in helping out communities in need. Long is a big part of the Waterboys initiative that helps to bring clean drinking water to parts of East Africa that are in need.
With all the controversy surrounding the NFL lately it’s nice to see stories like these every once in awhile.
