Kobe has become more outspoken and that’s probably because he isn’t laser focus on basketball anymore. He has the time to observe and be aware and just think rather than obsessing over something that does take a lot of time to be great at.
He’s tweeted about what’s happening regarding Trump and the surrounding chaos.
A #POTUS whose name alone creates division and anger. Whose words inspire dissension and hatred can’t possibly “Make America Great Again”

With athletes protesting during the national anthem in the NFL, the NBA hurried and banned kneeling. So far during the preseason teams have locked arms in unity, and we haven’t seen anyone kneel. Will it happen? Well, Kobe gave his answer on if he would stand or kneel if he was still playing during a rapid fire Q & A on the Hollywood Reporter Awards Chatter Podcast.
“Kneel,” Bryant said during a rapid-fire question-and-answer portion of the podcast.
He was also asked what he would say if he could speak to Trump right now.
“Focus on serving, not leading,” Bryant said.
Mamba has spoken.
Who do you think will be the first player(s) or team to kneel with the ban?
