Thunder guard Russell Westbrook became just the 4th player to record 100 triple doubles for his career. Today versus the Atlanta Hawks, Westbrook recorded 32 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.He now joins Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Jason Kidd as the only other players to achieve the milestone. The next closest active player is Lebron James with 68 triple doubles for his career.
A good chunk of Westbrook’s triple doubles came after the departure of Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors. Since his departure, he has led the Thunder to a 50 win season, playoff berth, as well as averaging a triple double for the regular season en route to winning the MVP award.
