The last time we talked about Richie Incognito was in 2013 when ESPN reported Incognito harassed teammate Jonathan Martin while playing with the Miami Dolphins. Incognito was suspended indefinitely for his actions.
Just five seasons after that drama, Incognito is being forced to hang them up according to Sporting News. The Bills guard told Buffalo News,
“I’m done. That’s it. It’s been a long career. Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. The stress is killing me. It’s just about doing what’s right. I just want to be in the Hall of Fame.”
It’s weird because reports indicated that he would return for the right price, and he wasn’t pleased with what the Bills were offering him.
“It pisses me the f off,” Incognito said. “The contract and all that pissed me the f off and all that, but (retiring) has nothing to do with that.”
Stay tuned, as Incognito has until Sunday to decide if he’s done or if he will return to the gridiron.
