Crenshanda Williams decided to do the exact opposite hanging up on callers who dialed 911. These are emergencies and Crenshanda decided to just hang up on people, thousands of people to be exact. Jurors on Wednesday found Crenshanda guilty of interference with emergency telephone calls, a misdemeanor according to CBSNews.
Calls such as robberies, speeding vehicles, and homicides were dropped all at the hands of Crenshanda. Prosecutors felt she betrayed their trust as her job is to take those calls and get first responders to the scene ASAP.
“The citizens of Harris County rely on 911 operators to dispatch help in their time of need,” said Lauren Reeder, a Harris County prosecutor.”
