Corey Brewer Says He Was Drug Tested After 51 Point Game

Corey Brewer drug tested after 51 point game

Veteran swingman Corey Brewer was traded to the Houston Rockets this past season and maybe part of the reason Houston wanted him is because of he went to them in 2014.

At the time, Brewer was a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, when he dropped a career-high 51 points on the Rockets head.

After the game of his life, Brewer had an interesting experience he finally decided to reveal.

How often do people bring up your 51-point game? […] Brewer: “People bring it up pretty often. I just remember it was amazing. I felt like everything I threw up was going in. It was fun. And especially it was fun to do it in Minnesota where we had a rough year, to get the crowd something to cheer about.”

There was a one-hour delay before you talked to media after that, right? […] Brewer: “I had a random drug test from the NBA. So I couldn’t do the interview until I got done with my drug test. I didn’t have to go to the bathroom. So it took a while. It was weird, it was just funny at the same time. I was like ‘Wow, I played the best game of my life, now I gotta go to the bathroom to take this drug test.’”

Hearing Corey Brewer and 51 points in the same sentence was just weird enough for the association to follow up with a drug test.

Rockets Hope Corey Brewer Signing Helps With Aldridge

Which team is most likely to land LaMarcus Aldridge

The Rockets are having a decent day after they were able to resign Patrick Beverley and Corey Brewer, and they are hopeful that the latter signing will aide them n their pursuit of LaMarcus Aldridge.

While the Rockets are still holding out hope on Aldridge, I think his most likely destination within the state of Texas is San Antonio. It just makes too much sense in my opinion.

The Houston Rockets and Corey Brewer have agreed to a deal worth $24 million dollars over three years.

At this point, any news is good news for Knicks fans when it relates to signing free agents. Two new names have surfaced as targets for the New York Knicks.

The signing of either player wouldn’t be the “Big Splash” Knicks fans are looking for but Corey Brewer could be a solid addition. The eight-year veteran plays great defense, bring energy off the bench and  averages 10.2 point during his career. Derrick Williams is an athletic forward who could add depth to the Knicks roster.

Report: T-Wolves Looking to Trade Corey Brewer

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to move veteran swingman Corey Brewer. Brewer is one of many wing players on the Wolves roster and is still very productive so it makes sense that they would try to extract an asset from a team that is in desperate need of wing help.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, fresh off heavy back-to-back losses in New Orleans and Dallas and in the latest indication of their growing focus on the future, are in active trade discussions with multiple contending teams pursuing veteran swingman Corey Brewer, according to league sources.

Sources told that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets have emerged as the most serious suitors for Brewer, whose arrival would be a notable boost for either team in terms of depth.

Corey Brewer 51 pts

Minnesota’s’ Corey Brewer scored 51 points in the the Timberwolves 112-110 victory over the Rockets last night.

When Lebron James was told about the monster game, he had the same reaction I’m sure a lot of people had.

If you didn’t know who Corey Brewer was before, I’m sure you’ll recognize the name after this.
