Joe Paterno was a great man, who made a very bad decision.
But unlike some, I will not choose to ignore the 60 years of good he did at Penn State. I went to a Big 10 school and I know personally what Paterno meant to Penn State.
I know how much he put into that school and how many students he helped.
No one is perfect and people are getting on their high horse as if they have never made bad decisions in their life.
Joe Paterno could have done more to stop Jerry Sandusky, but never forget he isn’t Jerry Sandusky. At the time he did what he thought was best and in retrospect it was a terrible decision.
We have all made decisions that we regret, but it is easy to throw stones from the comfort of your laptop.
If you get any pleasure out of Joe Paterno’s death you are sick human being and just remember the mirror doesn’t lie. When you look into what do you see?
I have no problem with Paterno being fired, but I refuse to ignore 60 years of positive things because of a mistake regardless of how big of a mistake it was.
RIP JOEPA and just remember that some of us won’t forget.
