I am always skeptical of restraining orders with no police report.
In my personal opinion if you feel the need to have a restraining order filed under “family violence” that means something criminal has happened. If something criminal happened why hasn’t the police ever been called?
I also find the timing curious that the order was filed on the first weekend of the NFL season.
Not saying the restraining order than Michele Bundy filed against NFL Today Analyst Shannon Sharpe is not warranted, but until more information comes out I wouldn’t jump to conclusions.
Sports By Brooks has the details:
The petition, filed by Michele Bundy, is classified as “Family Violence” and is currently listed as “filed.”
I talked to a Fulton County Sheriff spokeswoman Friday afternoon and she confirmed that the temporary restraining order against Sharpe had been granted by a judge but that Sharpe has not been charged with a crime or arrested. There is also no court hearing scheduled at present.
CBS had no comment and Sharpe is still scheduled to work tomorrow on The NFL Today. The relationship between Bundy and Sharpe is unknown. Bundy created a Facebook fan page to get Sharpe in the Hall of Fame, but that page has been deleted.
Before I give Sharpe the Smarten Up Nas, I need more information as the restraining order just came out of the blue.
If and when it is addressed by Sharpe, Bundy or CBS we will have it first.
