Al Jefferson Doubtful for Game 4 Against Heat

Charlotte Bobcats center Al Jefferson is unlikely to play in tonight’s Game 4 against the Miami Heat. Jefferson, who was a huge factor in the Bobcats making the playoffs for the second time in franchise history, injured the plantar fascia in his foot in the first half of Game 1 and has fought through the injury to give his team a chance in this series.

However with the Bobcats in a 3-0 hole and unlikely to come back in the series, it seems that Jefferson will be shutting it down for what is likely the final game of the Charlotte season.

While the playoffs have not gone as well as the Bobcats would have hoped, the soon-to-be Hornets and Al Jefferson can hold their heads high after one of the most successful seasons in team history. With Jefferson anchoring the post, the future could hold even better things for the team.

Bobcats’ Coach Steve Clifford Hospitalized

Patrick Ewing may finally make his debut as a head coach, but it will come at the price of a sudden illness to Bobcats first year coach Steve Clifford.

Charlotte Bobcats rookie coach Steve Clifford — who has gotten his team off to a surprising 3-2 start to the season — checked himself into a Charlotte area hospital Thursday night because he didn’t feel well, the team announced Friday morning.

He stayed overnight in the hospital and continues to undergo tests, according to the team

His status for Friday night against the Knicks is uncertain at this time.
