The WWE Battleground pay per view is underway but there is other news in the wrestlingsphere. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, both Sting and The Undertaker are set to be competing at WWE Summerslam but hold your horses because it will not be against each other. At least not according to Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline, who says that Sting will be wrestling vs Bray Wyatt at Summerslam.
“I know that there was some talk of doing Sting vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, but, maybe they won’t wait. Maybe they’ll do that one at SummerSlam. One way or the other, I just think that you’ve got to give poor Sting a win. He’s had one match in WWE, which he lost against Triple H at WrestleMania, and I can’t see why you’d beat the guy again if you want to do anything with him. So, he’s got to wrestle somebody that he can beat.” -Bryan Alvarez
Originally the plan was for Sting to face Bray Wyatt at next years Wrestlemania 32 but with the lackluster ratings for RAW, WWE moved plans up in order to try and raise their Monday night ratings. So Undertaker and Sting will be building up their matches through RAW. No word on who Undertaker would face but I would assume that one way or another, Undertaker and Sting cross paths at the Summerslam pay per view to set up a possible tease for a Wrestlemania match.
