The Bengals front office, management and ownership are idiots.
While I don't agree with the antics Chad Johnson used to get out of town, I agree that the Bengals are one of the worse run organizations of all time. It is obvious that Chad doesn't want to be there. When you have teams like the Washington Redskins offering a 1st round pick in this year's draft and a conditional 3rd round pick (which could become a 1st round pick) in next year's draft, you take that deal. I don't care if Johnson didn't want to be traded you take that deal. To put it in its proper perspective, the Patriots got the a 4th round pick for Randy Moss and teams are offer a 1st and 3rd for Chad Johnson. No wonder the Bengals are the laughing stock of the league.
At this point, he is becoming such a distraction that, if I owned an NFL team, I would want to get rid of him. Of course, if I owned an NFL team, it would have never gotten this far. But I digress. I will keep you informed of any rumors about potential trades leading up to the draft.
Wassup Ocho! It's ya boy Robert Littal. I'm sure you already know why I am sending this. I saw your interview on ESPN last night and, to be honest, I was a little disturbed.
Chad, you have to know by now ESPN is not your friend. Moreover, the media aren't your friends. They will never be friends to athletes like you even though, without you, they wouldn't exist. I know I've explained this to you before, Chad. We have talked about this several times. But, I'm going to break it down for you in a different way this time. So sit down and try to take it all in.
The media is a like a very beautiful woman who cheats on you constantly. You know she is going to do you wrong, but you are seduced by her beauty. Every time she cheats on you, she says she is sorry and invites you back. Every time, like the simp you are, you keep coming back and then she does it to you all over again. It's like the movie "Groundhog Day".
The beautiful woman will always cheat on the ones that come back. She doesn't cheat on the ones who generally treat her like crap (see: Roger Clemens). It doesn't matter how much the beautiful woman likes you. She will always be creeping behind your back because she knows that you lust for her attention. You are addicted to the attention like a drug. The message board people call people like you "Attention Whores". For lack of a better term, Chad, you need to pimp the beautiful woman and not let the beautiful woman pimp you.
Ocho, I know you see how they do T.O. ,and you know what they are labeling you now:
On the one hand, I agree with Chad Johnson that the Bengals use him as a scapegoat for a lot of their troubles. I never understood how it was Chad's fault that the defense gives up 100 points a game. With that being said, very similar to Terrell Owens, Chad's downfall will be his mouth.
He has to remember that the biased mainstream media will always twist his words to make him out to be the bad guy. The more he talks, the deeper hole he is digging himself. His points are very valid about the Bengals organization, but it isn't going to help anything by pouting.
The best thing Chad can do is keep quiet and be the Ocho Cinco that we all know and love. He is opening himself to unnecessary criticism when the focus should be on the multiple problems the Bengals have which aren't number-85.
Say it isn't so Ocho? Tell me you didn't try to punch Marvin Lewis, as my old childhood friend Reggie Sykes used to say, "Straight Up In His Eye".
When you held your press conference two years ago saying it was untrue, to be honest I figured you were lying but not to the extent that you treated Marvin's eye like he was Mitch "Blood" Green.
Mike Florio at Profootballtalk.com had the video confirmation that it went down before YouTube took it down and you know we have defended you against PFT.com in the past. But we can't defend any player, no matter how cool, for punching his coach in the eye like Jason Kidd finding out his ex wife cheated on him with Avery Johnson. It is in the past so there isn't much that can be done now. But when you are begging for a trade, you might want to remember some of the sins of your past Chad.
Daniel Synder wants Ocho Cinco. Ocho Cinco wants out of Cincinnati. Your Bona Fide Sports Expert predicted this may happen a month ago (see: pic above). With that being said I think it will be a mistake on everyone's part especially the Bengals. I think TJ Whoseyamomma is a very good WR but similar to Wes Welker in New England it is a lot easier to get open when the opposite receiver is drawing double and triple coverage on every down. You will hear the bias mainstream media use the deadly phrase:
"ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION"
If the trades goes down but what we have learned is it isn't usually the Wide Receiver that is the problem it is the organization. The reason why I say it would be a mistake for Chad to leave is simply that as a WR you don't want to leave franchise QB for unproven one that normally turns out bad. I will say I like Chad's chances to be successful a lot more than the Bengals if this actually happens.
When Terrell Owens was going through his drama in Philly I made the point of saying the only thing he was guilty of was having a big mouth. 90% of what he was saying was true, but that didn't matter because if you talk too loud in a league that wants you to be buttoned down it will always get you in trouble with the bias mainstream media. This brings me to Chad Johnson. Ocho Cinco is a good guy, a great player, a tremendous competitor and a very entertaining person, but unfortunately for Chad the NFL and the bias mainstream media don't want to talk about that. Chad was on the interview circuit during Super Bowl week and unfortunately for Chad he couldn't hide his displeasure for the Cincinnati Bengals. Now Chad being Chad never said he wanted to be traded, but in his own entertaining way let it be known. It would have probably been in his best interest not to say anything, but that isn't Ocho and of course the bias mainstream media has jumped on the story and has buried Chad as another T.O. Our good friends at profootballtalk.com seem to want to make it there mission to force you into believing Chad is another T.O. and that the league would be better if all receivers were like Art Monk.
I have made this point many times that one of the greatest lies perpetuated by the media is that players like T.O., Randy Moss and Chad Johnson destroy teams. It is simply a lie. How has Philly and Oakland done without Moss and T.O.? What is a truer statement is that sometimes it is the team not the player that is the problem and I feel that is the case with the Cincinnati Bengals. It isn't Chad Johnson's fault that the team underachieved and anyone who tells you otherwise is not someone you should take seriously. The Bengals from ownership, management and head coach have failed to realize this team's full potential. The defense is laughable and if you want a real reason for their struggles that is it. But no it is all Chad's fault? If you were him you would want to get traded to. The day Chad Johnson leaves the Bengals trust me they will be a lot worse off than before. Open your eyes people don't be blinded by hate.
