I never did like Tiki Barber and I liked him less after he said this to Sports Illustrated a few years ago:
Tiki Barber: nonthreatening, articulate, funny, intelligent, self -aware and hugely confident without seeming like an ego-maniac. And then there is his diction, which is ethnically and geographically neutral, perfect for a news anchor.
We grew up in a white middle-class community and had a mom who emphasized education and lived that neutrality, Tiki says. She didn’t speak that typical African-American diction.
He was such a self-absorbed, smug, ego-maniac that I was glad when he retired and I literally change the station when he is on TV, but I will give him credit for one thing.
He is getting divorced from his wife and there are no porn stars, reality show women, Nazis or Gloria Allred involved in the proceedings (please pray it stays that way).

Tiki Barber has split with his wife, Ginny, after 11 years of marriage, Page Six has learned. The former New York Giants running back and “Today” show correspondent has been living apart from Ginny, a former fashion publicist and full-time mom whom he started dating 16 years ago while they were both students at the University of Virginia. A source confirmed to us, “They have separated and have been apart for a few months.” The couple have two sons A.J., 7, and Chason, 6. Our source added that Tiki and Ginny “remain friends and will make sure this will cause the least possible disruption for their sons.”
