If you asked me right now if I thought the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight is going to happen my answer would be no.
Lately according to people who are close to the negotiations it appears to be Mayweather who is causing the issues.
Pacquiao has agreed to random blood tests up to 14 days before the fight. I think that is a reasonable compromise. Pacquiao has agreed to a 50/50 split which once again I think is reasonable.
Floyd has been pushing for a 60/40 split which is unreasonable. In my eyes they are both equal stars who need each other to make the fight be a success.
If Floyd wants a bigger piece of the pie he should offer a clause where the winner gets 60 and the loser gets 40 or just be happy with the 50/50.
We are talking about each fighter making over 50 million dollars, so it isn’t like he is losing out by agreeing to 50/50 split.
Manny for his part says he has made all the concessions he is going to make.
