No one knows if Michael Vick is truly repented for what he did to those dogs. Just like no one knows if Ben Roethlisberger has really learned his lesson about his strong arming incidents.
Only the mirror knows the truth.
All I ask for people is to be consistent. Don’t be hypocritical. It is your right as Americans to feel how you like about people. If you hate Michael Vick because he killed Scooby Doo that is fine, but there is no reason to go out of your way to be an attention whore.
Midwestsportsfans.com has this video and story about Richard Hunter who adopted one of Vick’s Pit Bulls. Here is the back story of what took place.
But something else happens [in addition to Vick being given the key to the city] in video — which was shot by Richard Hunter, better known as radio’s own Big Dick. Hunter, as Richie pointed out last June, adopted one of the so-called “bait dogs” Vick used in the dog-fighting ring that landed him in prison. The dog’s name is Mel — and as Richard told Richie, “While Vick is pure evil, this dog is so good despite having suffered through such hell that he’s truly changed my life.” Richard went to the event to show Vick Mel’s picture and confront him about the past — which, as you’ll see in the video, never happened.
Don’t know why Vick was giving the key to the city of Dallas, but that is another story for another time. The point is Hunter who did a good thing by adopting one of the dogs, does a bad thing to himself.
Instead of focusing on the positive thing he has done, he tries to be a glory hound and paint Vick in a negative light, but only makes himself look desperate for attention.
This video doesn’t look like a dog lover trying to make amends with Vick, it looks like someone that is salty that Vick is popular again.
That is the true definition of “hate”, someone who is jealous and envious of someone success. Mr. Hunter doesn’t have to like Michael Vick, but trying to bum rush him and play the victim role when there is no way Vick would be allowed to stop for a random person trying to bait him into an argument.
Mr. Hunter, since he is in the media should have use proper channels to try to interview Vick, because they way he did it was bush league.
No one is condoning Michael Vick’s actions in the past, but that is the past. We all have a past, either we learn from it or we are doomed to repeat. Vick’s future is in his hands, he has been blessed with another wonderful opportunity and it is on him if he takes advantage of it.
The only one who is looking unprofessional right now is Richard Hunter not Michael Vick.
