Thanks to the on-again, off-again, on-again NFL Lockout, players like Chad Ochocinco and coaches like Marvin Lewis can’t talk to each other. But there aren’t any rules preventing them from talking about each other. The long-running jabfest entered another round this weekend with Ochocinco criticizing Lewis on Twitter for criticizing Ochocinco.
This will just serve to widen the rift between Chad and Marvin Lewis – a chasm that’s been getting ever bigger over the last couple of seasons. The bad news for Ochocinco is that it looks like the team has found his replacement in former Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green. The worse news is that with the lockout currently in place, the Bengals can’t release him meaning his window to negotiate with other teams for a new job is getting smaller by the day. It’s hard to imagine that no team would take a chance on Ochocinco, but the longer he’s forced to wait, his chances of getting a deal to his liking diminish.
