Back when I was in middle school (and for the record I went to Catholic school) the teachers could commit assault on us and no one could do anything about it.
It was the priests and nuns who were doing the attacking (luckily I never experienced those other type of assaults that Catholic priests like to partake in).
We had one Nun who wrapped 12 wooden rulers in duct tape and if you got out of line she would pop you with it. In the hands, in the face, in the leg or wherever she felt was warranted. Go out and buy 12 of those wooden rules tape them up and hit something. I am surprised I survived.
Anyway this teacher went crazy, choked a kid, was tased and yada yada yada.
Gallagher was walking with the 12-year-old boy to the locker room after practice and choked him.
Pruitt tried to intervene, but Gallagher tried to fight him, according to the report. A parent then got involved as Pruitt called 911 for help.
When deputies arrived they approached Gallagher and asked him to put his hands behind his back.
Gallagher did not comply, according to the report, and was tased by the deputy. Gallagher reportedly pulled the prongs out of his body and was shocked again by another officer behind him, the report stated. Gallagher was shocked for a third time and fell to the ground where he was restrained by officers.
Deadspin points out that Gallagher was also the teacher who handled in school suspensions. I am sure that would be fun.
