There are two ways to disrespect a man nowadays — Mess with his jewelry or with his food. In the case of former Bears receiver Willie Gault, he’s been disrespected severely. Recently it was learned that a break-in occurred in the house of the former NFL player and some significant hardware was stolen.
In the robbery of Gault’s L.A. home, the thief was able to escape with one of his most valuable possesions – his Super Bowl Ring from the Bears’ storied 1985 season.
TMZ has the details on the break-in:
Law enforcement sources tell us … cops raced over to Gault’s home after receiving a call Wednesday night about jewelry that had been taken from the home in an apparent burglary.
We’re told more than $100,000 in jewelry is missing from the home — and Gault’s rep tells us one of the missing items is Gault’s prized ’85 Super Bowl ring … which famously boasts 40 diamonds, including a half-carat diamond in the center surrounded by 13 smaller diamonds.
A total of $100,000 including the Super Bowl ring? That’s got to be a big loss for Willie and hopefully the thief is caught very soon.
