When the conversation of which major sport has the worst commissioner, Major League Baseball and Bud Selig’s name is usually at the top of the list.
Between ALL Star Game fiasco’s and PED”s, Selig is constantly under fire.
Selig may again come under fire if he chooses to do away with one of the games great traditions.
According to the L.A. Times, Selig would prefer to do away with the post game celebratory Champagne celebrations.
“This is something I am not happy about: spraying champagne all over,” he said. “I’m not a fan of that.”
When asked if he would have that type of celebration stopped, Selig back pedaled some.
“I don’t know that we can,” he said.
“We could,” he said. “I understand that. It is something I have talked to the clubs about and will continue to talk to the clubs about. You want to have great celebrations, fine. But spraying each other with champagne is not that.”
So would he want the clubs to celebrate without champagne, or in some other way?
“It has been a conversation amongst clubs and club owners,” he said. “I’m not saying we will do anything. But it is something we have talked about.”
Gee Bud, with all the problems and issue’s you have in Major League Baseball, your Champagne celebration is whats bothering you right now.
