The New England Patriots have begun the process of voiding Aaron Hernandez’s remaining guaranteed money according to Ian Rapoport.

This shocking turn of events comes almost 10 months after the team gave Hernandez a five-year, $40 million contract extension that included $16 million in guarantees.
Hernandez has already made $10 million from the new deal, but the Patriots believe NFL bylaws and the collective bargaining agreement will allow them to recoup any future earnings that were due to Hernandez.
