Nothing wrong with a little confidence, even from Mark Sanchez right?
When the New York Jets decided to take Geno Smith in the second round of the NFL Draft, many thought the writing was on the wall for Mark Sanchez. After multiple sub-par seasons it seemed the Jets were finally ready to give up on the #5 pick in the 2009 draft.
If you ask Sanchez though, he believes he still has a shot. When asked about the quarterback competition wit the Jets, Sanchez was quick to let it be known how he feels.
“When it’s a straight-up competition for the job, let’s roll,” Mark Sanchez said. “It really doesn’t bother me at all. It really doesn’t affect my confidence or anything like that. We’re competing for something. All right, I’m going to win. That’s just how I am.”
If I can see another butt fumble, I’ll co-sign Sanchez being the starter.
