Just another day in the life of bizarre baseball injuries, nothing to see here.
Torii Hunter has been virtually a ghost of late in his once really great career, but now the injury bug has bitten him and it’s his achilles that’s causing problems. But how did the soreness in his achilles occur? Sports Grid reported the following:
The Detroit right fielder left Thursday’s game against the Chicago White Sox in the eighth inning because of a sore left Achilles. Hunter says the problem was caused by dress shoes that were too tight…
He said he said he recently bought shoes that “might have been a little tight on the Achilles.”
“A little sore the whole game,” he said
Yes, this is the excuse of a baseball vet, believe it. Hunter is listed as day-to-day, and to him I say ‘God’s speed’.
The long and illustrious list of baseball injuries continues to grow….
